Over an old golden metal spotlight, created and used to project the silhouette of his symbol up in the cloudy night sky of Gotham City, the Dark Knight, always with his characteristic stern countenance, positions himself with his fists clenched. Using a variation of his iconic costume in the classic blue and gray colors, and the praised chest symbol in the center of a yellow ellipsis, this version of his costume presents features of a tactical armor, with armor plates, shoulder pads, boots with shin guards, and a yellow utility belt filled with pockets, presenting the texture of fabrics and laminated Kevlar, leather, and metal. With a long and beaten cape, marked by the damage of countless battles, this intricate statue also presents a detailed base with a Joker Gargoyle underneath the Bat-Signal. Created by Bob Jane and Bill Finger in 1939, as a child, Bruce Wayne saw his parents being brutally murdered in the Crime Alley in Gotham City. Traumatized by their deaths, he dedicated his entire life to become the world’s greatest weapon against crime, the Batman! To become the supreme vigilante, the Dark Knight disciplined his mind and body to achieve the apex of mental and physical superiority in his relentless search for justice. Batman doesn’t have any superhuman powers, depending only on his intellect, investigative skills, technology, and a well-prepared body in his crusade against the most dangerous and insane villains of Gotham.
Produced inspired by the concept and art developed by Ivan Reis, the official illustrator of DC Comics from Chiaroscuro Studios, this is one of the most praised statues Iron Studios ever produced, originally made in a limited edition in the Prime Scale 1/3 line in 2016. Now, fans and collectors will get this reduced version in the Art Scale 1/10 line much more accessible and popular, exclusively released during CCXP2023.
