This season follows the events of (July 2025) and Creature Commandos (December 2024–January 2025), positioning Peacemaker within James Gunn’s reimagined DCU continuity.

James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, is set to write all eight episodes of Season 2. Due to concurrent commitments with the film, he will not direct every episode. Filming commenced with a "pre-shoot" on April 13, 2024, followed by principal photography from June to November 2024.
Season 2 delves deeper into Peacemaker’s psyche, exploring his internal conflicts and the consequences of his actions. The series aims to blend its signature blend of dark humor and action with more profound character development.
